I enlisted in 1970 and did an 18 month tour in Vietnam. I’m proud to have served our great nation.
Wz proud that u acted on suggestion I made late 2019. Only wish I could hv bought one of the first Vietnam Memorial pins; unfortunately, at time pin first came available, I--veteran & recent widow of Vietnam War veteran--had suffered financial setback thx to DoD interference, thus becoming penniless homeless veteran at onset of pandemic. Thx to Veterans Administration assistance & EICs received due to pandemic, hv only recently felt secure enuf to buy pin that I now hv on display along with husband's funerary flag.
It’s been many years since I was in country but I Love ur pin I have one, reminds me of the Hero’s I served with and the Ones that didn’t come Home. R.I.P. I wear my pin probably every day but being that it was during the Vietnam era and blacks severed in the war maybe one of the figurines should have been depicted as a black person.

I love what the pin stands for, my Brothers and Sisters who did not get a welcome home. Most would be spit on and called names, not cool America. You may find it hard to get another generation willing to go to war for a public who do not deserve to be fought for.

This pin is the epitome of the camaraderie developed during the deployment of troops to the Viet Nam battlefields. Some were lost there, through capture, torture, or battlefield death and never had the chance to 'come home'. I owe each Veteran a world of thanks for their sacrifices, service, time & energies providing my freedoms. Till we meet again, may they be fully honored, and always Rest in Peace.
I gave these to my ex husband .. he was thrilled to tears. As a vet that was never welcomed home, this really made him feel good, these metals great quality and perfect for lapels or hats.
