My friend got cancer from breathing the fumes from Fire Trucks. Since then, they have vented all fire stations. He lost his battle with cancer and is with his heavenly father. I gave the Fireman's Coin to his wife at the funeral and she was touched by it.
He absolutely loved it!
Who ever receives one will know that the public cares that they are their for us .

I bought these collectible coins to give to some of our local firemen to let them know they are loved and appreciated. I saw three of them in the grocery store in town and I had my chance to share!!! I walked up smiling and said “Hey guys”!. They smiled so I asked if I could just have a moment of their time. Of course they obliged me and I simply said “I have something I want to give you something from me, to let you know you are loved and appreciated for your hard work you do for me and the rest of our little city”. With that I handed them a coin and said “Thank you for your service to our community and may God bless you and keep you safe!”. I quickly walked away as they were shopping for dinner that night and their time is valuable. Several minutes later , I turned the corner and they were right there, in front of me! I stopped and they said “Can we give you a thank you hug for making this a most memorable day in a long long time!” It was one of my most memorable day, too.
My husband and I have given 105 firefighters challenge coins out to the firefighters in Gresham Oregon with the help of one of their staff members. They gave us a thank you card letting us know how much they appreciated the coins. They never had anyone take time to do this. We are working on getting enough challenge coins for our men and women in blue. It is important that they know that we appreciate all they do. I am waiting on seeing how many we will need to purchase and long it will take us. But it is well worth the cost to be able to do something to show people how much they are value.
I work at a College that has a Fire Academy and Police Academy. I try to buy coins for each graduating class and hand them out personally. So far, everyone has loved them and have been very appreciative. James Buckley
BROTHER IN-LAW LOVED THE COIN,
I bought this coin for a friend of my son’s. He is an amazing firefighter and should be rewarded this coin.
My son is one of the many US Fire Fighters who volunteered to deploy to Israel to backfill their fire stations while their members were called-up. I respect his decision to go when his friends called and asked for his help. He came home safe while others took his place. I found his service required recognition and felt this “Thanks for Your Service “ coin was a small way to demonstrate my pride in him and his colleagues. Thanks for making them available.
Excellent coins. Always very well received.
Nice artwork, but the coin is much thinner than most all challenge coins
