I ordered this pin years ago. The current one I ordered for a Huey pilot that l had the pleasure of accompanying on an Honor Flight to Washington DC, yesterday. It "flew" on his cap the whole day!

The Bell UH-1 Iroquois “Huey” is recognized as one of the most iconic helicopters in the world. Having served the US Military in active duty from 1959-2005, the Huey saw the majority of its’ action during the Vietnam War, flying our troops in & out on countless combat as well as rescue missions. Countless missions during the Vietnam War took their toll on the Huey and its’ crew, losing 1,074 pilots, 1,103 crew members, and 3,305 total crafts. Over 7,000+ UH-1 Huey’s served in Vietnam, flying a total of 7,531,955 flight hours. The Huey and its’ crew were directly responsible for airlifting over 90,000+ patients out of harms way, saving thousands of lives in the process. We owe the UH-1 Huey’s and their crew members a debt of gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

A good pin worth the money. It brought back memories of my days in Nam. However, I never flew a combat assault in a Huey equipped with doors. The doors were always removed to make the air ship lighter. WE always flew like an open hallway in a barn.

I love my new pins, & have them on my " Til Valhalla " Cap as shown. This helps me remember all those men & women who sacrificed, suffered & some whom fully gave their all in the battlefields of Viet Nam. I will never stop thinking of those who are still there, because they gave their lives for my freedoms, & never had the chance to 'come home'. I thank EVERY Veteran, & pray they will be properly honored always.
My father worked at Bell Helicopter for 35 years. He was the Design Engineer on the Huey Team. The Bell Cobra was his project and he retired as one of Bell's VPs. I bought this pin for me and two brothers, of whom, Scott is still at Bell in Engineering. We love our Huey pins and are proud and grateful for our US military.

I'm retired Air Force but did my first years in the Army. I was in Vietnam Oct 68 - Oct 69 as a combat engineer. Hueys got us in and out field and loved them.
